About the League:
Welcome to the ultimate dock diving experience at Jasper’s Splash Zone! Our Spring Dock Diving League is the perfect opportunity to dive into action, improve your dog’s jumping skills, and connect with a community of like-minded enthusiasts. This league is open to dogs of all breeds, sizes, and skill levels, whether you’re a seasoned competitor or brand new to the sport.

Over the course of six (6) weeks, you and your dog will participate in exciting weekly sessions that showcase their talents in distance jumping. You only need to attend a minimum of three (3) sessions to be eligible for rankings and awards, so you have the flexibility to join on the dates that work best for you.

 

Key Details:

• Location: Jasper’s Splash Zone, Lafayette, CO

• League Start Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025

• When: Every Sunday, 3:30–6:00 PM

• Duration: 7 weeks (6 Competition League Sessions PLUS award day / potluck)

• Minimum Participation: At least three (3) league sessions to qualify for rankings and awards

• Your dog must be already able to jump off the dock.  If your dog is not able to jump off the dock yet, please consider signing up for a private 1:1 lesson or one of our dock diving group classes. 

• This League is planned for indoors but we may move outdoors for a few.

DETAILS

League Format

• The league runs over 6 League Days, each featuring 2 Jumping Waves.

• Each Wave consists of 2 jumps per team. 

• The best jump from each Wave will be recorded as the team’s score for that wave.

• Two handlers are allowed on the 40 foot dock if you need someone to hold your dog.

• Sorry no e-collars (not even the transmitter) and no prong collars allowed.

• No bare feet, No flip-flops, and No slides allowed.

• Sorry, no female dogs in season/heat are allowed on the property and especially not on the dock.

🎉 Finale & Fun

• The league wraps up with a Potluck and Fun Jump Day following the last League session.

• Final awards will be presented at this event.

Scoring

• After each League Day, your best wave scores will be placed into a bubble sheet so you can see how you are doing.

• Throughout the season, each team can accumulate up to 12 wave scores (2 per League Day).

• For Final League Rankings, a team’s Top 3 Wave Scores (based on distance) are averaged to produce their Final Score.

🏆 Final Standings & Awards

✔️ Eligibility for Final Rankings:

• Teams must participate in at least 3 out of 6 League Days to qualify for final placements and awards.

🥇 Placement Awards:

• Teams will be ranked based on their Final Score (average of their top 3 wave scores).

• All qualifying teams will be placed into “classes” based on performance.

• The Top 3 teams in each class will receive placement awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

Tiebreakers

• In case of a tie in final score:

• The next-best jump (outside of the top 3) will be used as a tiebreaker.

• If still tied, the highest second jump from a single wave will be used.
